With over 40 years experience in rubber production, Hertalan was Europe's first manufacturer of EPDM roofing material. Hertalan EPDM roof coverings and pond liners are sold worldwide under the trademark name hertalan .
Hertalan manufactures also rubber profiles used in the glazing industry, joint- and vacuum profiles, technical rubber products and special compounds for the rubber industry.

EPDM roof coverings have been successfully used for more than 40 years in Europe, America and the Middle East. Following research and tests it has become clear that these roof coverings exceed the standards, EN, DIN and ASTM - which are the basis to the production of EPDM roof coverings. The Süddeutsche Kunststoffzentrum (SKZ) in Würzburg Germany confirms that the material EPDM has a lifespan of more than 50 years. This is a guarantee for a durable and waterproof flat roof covering. Independent researches institutes, such as the NIBE and Boom, declare that EPDM roof covering is one of the most ecologically justified product available. EPDM can be safely installed without naked flames, is recyclable and has a very long lifespan.
