Better than wood: more than 1000 approved applications with 1 panel

The alkus panel is an extremely long-lasting compound construction of plastic and aluminium resp. fibreglass – making it the most economical choice for every formwork. As opposed to wood it is absolutely immune to water and lasts up to 20 times longer than wood panels. More than 1000 approved applications with the same panel are already recorded.

At the same time the alkus panel can be nailed, sawed and drilled like wood – but beyond that it can also be bent, shaped and even repaired with the same material it’s originally made of.

The idea that led to MEVA: crane-independent panel formwork
It was the market request for high-value and project-independent formwork that led to the foundation of MEVA (the name is the German acronym for metall processing). It was in 1970 when MEVA turned the idea into reality and started producing the MEVA panel formwork that was an economic and technically advanced alternative to the conventional formwork exclusively used up to that time. The idea of project and crane-independent formwork proved to be successful.
Construction sites with MEVA formwork all over the world keep supplying ideas and are an impetus to further develop the MEVA products - and develop new ones, applying the company philosophy that MEVA has been loyal to since its foundation: Generate and use in-house development as well as production knowhow and capacities.
