Architecture
Architecture The Titanium La Portada Tower is at the summit of an area of the city that has changed Chile's image. Designed mainly for offices, this superstructure features 52 stories, a double heliport and seven underground levels, with a parking capacity of 1,350 units. Designed mainly for offices, 70% of the ground level is open for pedestrian traffic, landscaping, walkways and water fountains, all of which promote urban interaction. La Portada is the name of the area where the Mapocho River narrows, which is situated between The Metropolitan Park and San Luis Hill. In this area, wind and water join their forces to the rhythm imposed by nature and urban life. Consequently, the tower facades were conceived as sails swollen by the wind that rotate on their vertical axis, giving the building the proper dynamism of a great urban door. |
