Princess Elisabeth Station, Antarctica

That efficiently designed buildings are often aesthetically attractive is once more proved by the Princess Elisabeth Station. Although primarily designed with an approach close to space engineering, the antarctic research station strikes a balance between the needs of those living and working there and the technical limitations of construction in one of the harshest climates on the planet.
