The Melbourne Convention Centre is just one part of this PPP. The partnership is delivering a $1.4 billion revitalised riverside precinct incorporating a new Hilton Hotel, an office tower, 100,000m² of diverse and vibrant retail experiences, including a rejuvenated river promenade. Situated on the banks of the Yarra River it is integrated with the adjoining Melbourne Exhibition Centre becoming the largest and most versatile exhibition and convention facility in the southern hemisphere.

The facility offers a deluxe hotel with restaurants and cafes; a grand banquet room for up to 1,500 diners with a spacious pre-dinner cocktail balcony overlooking the Melbourne city skyline and Yarra River; 32 meeting rooms all contractible and expandable and sound-proofed, wired and serviced, and a ground foyer able to cater for 8,400 guests. The surrounding infrastructural changes include a new footbridge and bike tracks, linking communities which from one side of the Yarra to the other.
