Design Concept

Incheon 151 Tower is a heavenly ladder that takes mankind to new heights. The super-tall structure combines grace and strength to represent the aspirations of the growth, vitality and spirit of Korea in its role as the nexus of Northeast Asia.

The tower sits at one end of the newly opened 7.4-mile Incheon Grand Bridge which crosses the Yellow Sea to connect Incheon International Airport, the country's main international airport on Yeongjong Island, more effectively with coastal destinations to the south. The bridge cuts travel time between the airport and Songdo - a trip that used to take an hour or more - to approximately 15 minutes. Incheon 151 Tower will be one of the first landmark that travelers see when they enter the Korean mainland. As an international world gateway to Korea, its destiny is to create a timeless, memorable icon to the world. Much like the Eiffel Tower immediately registers as Paris and France in people's minds, Incheon 151 Tower will instantly identify Incheon and Korea.

At the same time, the tower is not intended to be a "monument" of mere symbolic nature, but rather a workable, progressive building which responds to programmatic specifications driven by feasibility requirements to ultimately serve the people - residents, office tenants, hotel guests and visitors - who will use the building. Incheon 151 Tower features 30 floors of commercial offices, a 260-room five-star hotel, residential apartments and urban condominiums, and observation levels at floors 119 and 120. The tower has a five-story retail atrium and parking podium with three levels below grade.

Incheon 151 Tower will be an icon, but an icon of Life. It will be a grand, mixed-use, "Vertical City of the Sky" teeming with life - life that flows not only within the tower, but also out into the new Songdo Landmark City, making the tower and the community one, and setting a new standard for the world: development for the enhancement of human life.
