Red Carpet Zone, Memorial Court and Walk of Fame

Red Carpet Zone
During the PIFF festival or at special events, the Red Carpet Zone is defined via a distinct walk way for stars at the entrance sculpture of the Double Cone. A red carpet runs from the events area at the Double Cone over the Photo Point to the south over the park to the pier. VIPs can walk on the red carpet once dropped off by their limousines, or they can moor their boats at the pier. Depending on the planed scenario there are a number of ways to access the different events and performance areas from the Double Cone. Amongst these is a spiral ramp that leads from stage level of the events area to the VIP lounge in the roof or to the top level of the PIFF Hill and the CineMountain foyer. During times when there are no special events, the Red Carpet Zone acts as a symbolic entrance to the Busan Cinema Center.

Memorial Court & Walk of Fame
The Walk of Fame contains the Memorial Court which is an open area. Projectors are sunk into the ground and create holographic pictures of stars, directors and producers that are part of the Walk of Fame. The virtual images are always present in the Memorial Court. The displays can, however, be changed to show varied information or to elaborate on particular PIFF events. During times where there are no special events, the Memorial Court becomes a representative entrance to the CineMountain. It includes the outside area of the café in the double cone with a view over the park and water.
The open area of the Memorial Court becomes a multifunctional events area through its protective, unsupported roof. It can be used for PIFF events of by the city without interrupting the day to day running of the Busan Cinema Center. Various events can take place in different areas at the same time.
