CineMountain and Urban Valley

CineMountain
The CineMountain holds a multifunctional theater with 1000 seats, fly tower and complete backstage infrastructure, a multiplex cinema and hall with 400 seats, as well as two auditoriums with 200 seats. Theater and cinema are accessed via separate entrances and foyers. They are, however, designed to be joined as necessary.
The construction of theater and cinema is completely separate and so optimal sound proofing of the theater is achieved. It has been designed as a multi functional and flexible hall with two balconies that allows for optimal visibility from all seats and adaptable acoustic.
A flexible, adjustable proscenium stage with side stages and a stage tower contains movable acoustic panels that can easily be set up for concerts and opera. The stage has a lift that allows for extra seating, orchestra pit or an extension of the stage. Curtains along the walls of the auditorium can be run horizontally or they can be hidden to suit the acoustic requirements of the hall.

Urban Valley / Outdoor Cinema
The Urban Valley consists of a flat area of use and broad grand-stand -like steps at the PIFF Hill to accommodate the 4000 seats of the outdoor cinema. The Urban Valley is covered by a sculpturally designed roof that is covered with LED. It is orientated towards a flexible stage and projection area on the east façade of the CineMountain. As the need arises it can be kitted out with a projector screen, stages, speakers and lights. A large, vertical sliding gate allows for the opening of the stage area and the use of the stage technology on the inside of the CineMountain for open air performance.
