Vision for a Better Future

Andreas and Renate Lewerken began the company as workshop for wooden children's toys. Within a few years the company evolved to a highly flexible and creative medium-sized business furniture factory, combining traditional carpentry craftsmanship with the latest in CNC production technologies.
Expansion in to the business areas of solid surface design as well as boat and yacht building added new innovation and areas of expertise. With the addition of the 28.000 m² boat yard, space was given for new production facilities with CNC electronic press brakes, welding work-stations and more.

Mile stones:
1985: Andreas Lewerken founds his company, called „Wodden Toys from Lapwings Hill“; First sales are made to art galeries. 1990: Restructuring of the company with furniture and interior design as a new focus. 1996: The company moves from the infamous „ Lapwings Hill #2“ (Kiebitzberg 2) in Kuhlhausen to the industrial park in Havelberg. 1998: Acquisition of the boat yard in Havelberg, with the aim to save the ship building tradition in Havelberg. 1999: Expansion of the growing solid surface business, by creating an independent assembly line. In the Fall of 1999 Andreas Lewerken is awarded the „Grand Price of Medium-sized Businesses Entrepreneurship“ 2007: Certificate of Environmental Alliance and Price „Entrepreneurship in the Altmark“

When we founded the Kiebitzberg Boatyard, we knew we had big shoes to fill. 300 years of ship-building tradition in Havelberg preceded our business. As a heir to this history we would like to add yet another chapter. These days, sea-going ships are being built in Havelberg once again. Realizing your ideas is our goal
Explore and relax with the pontoon boat PonTOM® for those seeking adventures or those quite moments. Built your tent on the „base-camp“-module, or add an optional helmstand, elegant outdoor furniture, sun-cover or barbecue. Discover and experience lakes and rivers in new exciting ways. The PonTOM® is the newest addition to our line-up of regular pontoon and other swimming platforms. Based upon our patented Open-G-System® and built out of aluminum these modules have low weight, high stability and can be configured to suit your needs and requirements.

Our yacht refit program offers you high quality, professional and all out renewal of your boat or yacht, bearing in mind both optical, technological and environmental aspects.
Another focus in our product portfolio is ship interior design. In cooperation with the Kiebitzberg Furniture Factory we produce and install timelessly beautiful interior for your vessel. This way you'll get a complete solution from one source, built to order, built to last.

Furniture Factor

The Kiebitzberg Furniture Factory unites traditional precision craftmanship with modern high-tech production technology. Our highly flexible production facility is capable of e.g. producing quality furniture in large batches, comlex interior fittings for office buildings and deluxe ship interior all at once. High quality, however, must not mean expensive. Our planning team uses your idea as a central focus point for their plannings, to find innovative but also practical and financially feasible solutions. CNC Technology and modern machinery make sure that we can produce these solutions cost and time efficient.

While functional interior is a crucial element for any work environment, it's astethical surroundings that motivates employees and stimulates customers. Together with our partners we create interior concepts that inspire and develop stores and offices that sell for our customers. Solid-surface Processing

The beauty and many possibilities of solid-surface materials has fascinated us for more then 15 years. So much, in fact, that in 1999 we opened a separate department solely dedicated to products made from materials such as DuPont Corian® or LG Hi-Macs®. Dedicated machinery, CNC 4-axis technology and most importantly highly specialized employees who care about their products enable us to meet almost any challenge brought to us.
Our Design-Team develops innovative and beautiful products for individual customers as well as for distribution. Worktops, counter tops, washstands, shower fittings, furniture, design objects and much more is possible. A rich palette of colors, a vast number of possibilities, and outstanding durability make solid surface materials the product of choice for planers and architects.
