There's a fire - what shall we do?
Additional damage when extinguishing with water
Water is an excellent extinguishant with its capacity to absorb heat and stop fires burning. However, using water in this way can damage buildings and goods. In areas where maintaining accessibility is key or where valuable items are stored, water is therefore not the ideal solution.
Gas extinguishing agents avoid damage and leave no residue
Gas extinguishing agents provide the optimal solution for protecting important areas - use of such agents does not result in any additional damage. The extinguishing process leaves no residue so that, for example, technical equipment remains usable and valuable items (works of art, documents, film) remain unblemished.
Better products for fire protection
As a leading provider of gas extinguishing technology we offer a nitrogen technology which provides the optimal extinguishing gas for most situations. Alternatively by using argon, carbon dioxide and the chemical extinguishing agent HFC 227ea we can provide the right gas extinguishing technology for every application and situation.

Fire can break out at any time
Under normal circumstances a fire can start at any time. According to the value of the goods requiring protection, measures should be in place to minimise damage for such a scenario. Measures stretch from simple hand-held extinguishers to automatic early fire detection and extinguishing systems. All previously existing methods have one thing in common: they can only react once a fire has already started.
How does OxyReduct® work?
OxyReduct® offers active fire prevention. The oxygen content of a room is controlled using a patented conditioning technology. The reduction is so precise that in a given room a fire cannot start yet people can continue to be present without any side effects. This oxygen reduction is aided by nitrogen, which is generated from normal atmospheric air.
Actively reducing fire
The advantages of an active fire prevention system are clear:
• certainty of avoiding outbreak and spread of fire
• permanent and preventative fire protection to secure business processes and
valuable goods
• avoidance of further damage from smoke, spread of fire or from extinguishing agents
• problem-free adaptability to changes in fire risk
• wide-ranging design freedom
• cost savings at the construction stage of fire detection measures
• personnel retain access to protected areas
Each new customer enquiry is individually assessed and resolved, whereby for every customer a totally unique solution is developed.

Humans are the weakest link
In dangerous situations humans are often the weakest link in the processing of immediate response. Mistakes are made, unaware of the consequences that may follow. Just imagine a stressed security guard who in panic accidentally brings a whole computer centre to a standstill.
Pre-Planning
Situations that may threaten life or business continuity can be assessed by risk analysis. Planning for such eventualities in advance will allow fast and efficient implementation of appropriate, automatic counter measures for every probable emergency.
Integrated fire risk management
Automatic co-ordination of emergency procedures are possible when all relevant systems are integrated at a management system, allowing all relevant information to be monitored at a central location from which appropriate intervention actions and events, control signals and clear instructions, can be initiated. Implementing measures through a central command management system can save lives and greatly reduce the extent of damages incurred.
