Lighting Powers of Ten |
|
The
exhibition Lighting Powers of Ten showcases the work of the New York based Office for
Visual Interaction (OVI). Approaching light as a seamlessly integrated part of architectural design, the lighting design firm by Jean Sundin and Enrique Peiniger has collaborated with renown architects such as Zaha Hadid, and
Renzo Piano. The exhibition takes place from 12 March to 25 April 2010 at the Architecture Forum Aedes in Berlin, Germany. |

At the center of the exhibition are four of OVI's award-winning projects: the LED streetlight for New York City currently in protoyping, the lighting for the Scottish Parliament Building complex and grounds, an energy-efficient scheme for the New York Times headquarters, and illumination of the United States Air Force Memorial.

Under the auspices of the UIA, the Chamber of Architects of Turkey Antalya Branch organizes the International Young Architects Meeting. In its fifth edition taking place from 21 to 23 May 2010 in Antalya, Turkey, the meeting will focus on the theme Fashion in Architecture.
In the 21st Century the rapidly evolving technology is immanent in modern buildings and designs. The aim of the event is to explore reasons of emerengence of the digitial applications which are examples of today's architectural Fashion, and their effects to human, nature and future. |

As the EU aim for 20% more energy efficiency, member states are now looking at methods to save energy and increase efficiency - green building and future sustainable urban environments are high on the agenda. The EFEF features the Future Urban Zone to give architects and engineers the chance to present their latest greenbuild projects to an international audience.
