Reaching goals for climate protection is not only the job of the state, but
requires many participants since climate protection starts right at the front
door. The CEP® CLEAN ENERGY & PASSIVEHOUSE 2010 is an important platform for
discovering the possibilities for saving energy. The trade fair will inform
visitors with the usual competence and know-how in all relevant areas for the
third time from 25-27 February 2010 in the New Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre.
The success of this year’s event in the passive house section has inspired
the trade fair organizer REECO GmbH to rename the CEP® CLEAN ENERGY POWER to the
CEP® CLEAN ENERGY & PASSIVEHOUSE to boost the construction portion. The solar
section is also being expanded. On avisibly highlighted trade fair section
dedicated to solar, there will be a sunroof with a special exhibit and live
installations to create a vivid depiction of the workings of solar technology.
At the CEP®, visitors can exchange information on the entire span of renewable
energies and passive houses. The range of topics covers photovoltaics,
solarthermics, geothermal energy, heat pumps, cogeneration, biomass, stirling,
heating with wood and energy services. Plans are in place to give the topic of
construction and renovation its own exhibition hall this year.
At the beginning of the year, over 9,300 visitors from 25 countries informed
themselves of the energy supply of the future on over 10,000 m² of exhibition
space. 73 percent of them were trade visitors. The trade fair and congress has
established itself as the leading trade fair in the area of renewable energy and
passive houses in Baden-Württemberg, and an additional exhibition hall is being
planned for next year and beyond.

As part of the trade fair, trade conferences dealing with different topics
are again being planned. These will include the 3rd German Stirling Congress,
the 2nd International Symposium Solar and Renewable Cooling, the 4th
International Conference on Application of Biomass Gasification as well as the
conference on the topic of passive houses. Here, qualified visitors can use the
chance to further their expertise in addition to the regular exhibition. In 2010 there will again be three exhibitor forums for renewable energies,
construction and renovation as well as solar with free presentations. In
addition, experts will be offering tours of the trade-fair areas dealing with
passive houses as well as renewable energies and solar.
Some strong network partners such as the Society for the Promotion of
Renewable Energies (FEE), the Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum, the Pro Passivehouse
Network, the Institut Fortbildung Bau (IFBau), the Baden-Württembergische
Handwerkstag and the Baden Württemberg Ministries of the Economy, Environment as
well and Rural Areas have already pledged their support. The Minister President
of Baden-Württemberg Günther H. Oettinger is once again patron of the event.
