CEP® CLEAN ENERGY & PASSIVEHOUSE

presenting the energy concepts of the future for the 5th year in a row

Dates: 29 - 31 March 2012
Venue: Trade Fair Center Stuttgart, Germany

REECO GmbH presents the 5th CEP® CLEAN ENERGY & PASSIVEHOUSE from March 29th to 31st, 2012 in the Trade Fair Center
Stuttgart, Germany. After only five years, the international trade fair and conference has established a solid international reputation as the leading trade fair for renewable energies and energy efficient buildings. The trade fair area dedicated to energy efficient buildings is the heart of the exhibition at the CEP® and continues to grow from year to year, presenting comprehensive information on the leading standard of energy efficient construction and renovation. The CEP® is already one of the central trade fairs in Europe for passive house buildings.

Thanks to its unique combination of renewable energies and passive house concepts, the CEP® is regarded as one of the leading trade fairs in Europe and has established its role as a central international meeting point for the sector. No other platform offers such a broad comprehensive overview of the leading standards in the area of energy efficient construction and renovation. All the different possibilities for the new construction and renovation of energy efficient buildings, including energy-plus houses, passive house solutions, passive solar buildings or low energy buildings, will be on display in the exhibition area and discussed in the accompanying conferences and trade forums.

Project manager of the CEP® Sandra Bayer Teixeira notes that, “The CEP® has established itself on the market and has become a fixture of the energy and construction scene.” In 2012, the focus on large buildings will be enhanced. The increased emphasis on this area seeks to attract new key target groups such as facility managers and industry representatives.

The 2012 CEP® will also place special emphasis on the continually growing interest in the topic of ventilation and will focus on controlled residential heat recovery ventilation, which can make a huge contribution to healthy air quality in buildings. 30 exhibitors in the area of residential ventilation will be on site at the CEP® to present a comprehensive overview of the market and the newest technological developments and their applications.

In the area of regenerative and decentralized energy production, the topics presented at the CEP® include cutting edge innovations in the areas of cogeneration, wood energy, heat pumps and solar technologies. Photovoltaics, solar thermics and solar cooling are central themes of the 5th CEP®. The section of the trade fair dedicated to solar will be further expanded in 2012. Market leaders from all areas will be represented at the trade fair and conference to present their current products and innovations.

As part of the trade fair, the CEP® will also present several accompanying conferences, including the “4th International Symposium Solar and Renewable Cooling” on March 29th, 2012 and the “6th International Conference on the Application of Biomass Gasification” on March 30th, 2012, which will both be presented in German and in English. The “4th Symposium Solar and Renewable Cooling” will discuss the newest technological and economical developments in the area of solar thermal cooling and biomass. With rising cooling energy demand worldwide, renewable thermal cooling offers an environmentally friendly alternative to electrical chiller systems. An overview of the technologies and the market prospects will enable decision makers to evaluate this innovative technology. Researchers can benefit from the comprehensive presentations, which show detailed performance results of thermal cooling systems in buildings and industrial applications. The latest developments in closed and open sorption systems for residential, commercial and office building applications will be presented by leading companies, energy consultants and researchers.

The "6th International Conference on Application of Biomass Gasification" in cooperation with Fördergesellschaft Erneuerbare Energien e.V. Berlin, had been developed to be the leading conference for biomass gasification for combined heat, power and refrigeration (CHP/R) in the capacity range of installed electrical power up to 5 MW. Plants with less than 100 kWel in operation will be presented as well. The overall objective is to facilitate the market implementation of this technology. The conference aims to offer manufacturers and developers an international networking point for comparing markets and exchanging news. With presentations from Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Denmark and Finland, the international network already spans most of Europe.

Along with the trade fair, the Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum and Handwerk International Baden-Württemberg will also organize a company mission - “Sustainable Construction in Germany” event on Thursday and Friday, offering guided tours of the trade fair, presentations and a business matching for sustainable construction.

Not only the ideal location of the CEP® in Stuttgart makes the event attractive for international companies and visitors. Stuttgart is one of Germany's leading centers for know-how and innovation in the area of energy efficient building and renovation. The trade fair visitors and conference participants at the CEP® can profit from the strong network of knowledge of some of the most innovative structures in Germany and the vital exchange of information that takes place here. Active industry leaders such as BASF SE, Eltek Valere GmbH, EnBW GmbH, ETA Heiztechnik GmbH, Fronius Deutschland GmbH, Fröling Heizkessel- und Behälterbau Ges.m.b.H., Glen Dimplex Group, NILAN A/S, SHT Heiztechnik aus Salzburg GmbH, Sovello AG, UPSOLAR GmbH, Variotec Sandwichelemente GmbH & Co. KG and Yanmar Europe B.V. will be on site at the CEP® 2012 to present their newest products and solutions.
