• First focused exhibition for windows, doors, facades in South India
• Focus on pioneering green technologies
Dates: 23-25 February 2012
Venue: Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, Bangalore, India
After its successful premiere in New Delhi in February 2011, fensterbau/frontale India, the International Exhibition & Conference on Window, Door and Facade Industry moves from the north to the south of the country for its second edition: the exhibition will take place in Bangalore from 23-25 February 2012. Like its premiere in New Delhi, the event in Bangalore is collocated with ACREX INDIA, India's biggest exhibition for refrigeration, air conditioning and building services.
The two events with their complementary themes had already appealed equally to architects, planners and building experts in New Delhi in 2011. The premiere of fensterbau/frontale India attracted more than 3,000 highly qualified visitors
and 47 national and international Exhibitors from India, Germany, Greece,
Turkey, Austria, the United Arab Emirates and the PR of China.
The products and services at fensterbau/frontale India 2012 include profiles,
semi-finished materials, materials, production aids, components and
prefabricated elements, hardware, fixing equipment, shading
and ventilating equipment, machines, installations and tools,
operating systems and equipment, office organization, services, associations,
research & development, and technical information. Detailed information on
fensterbau/frontale India 2012 is available online at

"Green light" for India's future
Parallel to the products on display, the internationally renowned German
institute ift Rosenheim together with the Indian experts from IFF (International
Fenestration Forum) will again present a three-day programme of lectures under the heading of "Envelopes for Green Buildings". The use of the right building envelope technology can offer decisive advantages in green buildings, especially
in conjunction with the air conditioning technology shown at the parallel ACREX INDIA. Architects, planners and other building experts thus have the opportunity to obtain information about integrated concepts at both exhibitions. The conference programme also offers lots of the latest information on energy efficiency, shading, security, temperature and sound insulation, and the peculiarities of the Indian market. The presentations by well-known international experts will also guarantee that the second conference on "Envelopes
for Green Buildings" will again be an ideal platform for obtaining information and exchanging views. As a country with extraordinary growth rates for the
economy and population and a feeling of responsibility for nature that is deeply
rooted in its culture, India faces challenges and opportunities of equal
magnitude - so excellent conditions for actively shaping the future now.
Expert visitors, delighted exhibitors and international recognition
The premiere of fensterbau/frontale India in 2011 was convincing right from the
start. The event received outstanding ratings in the exhibitor survey. The
exhibitors particularly praised the high quality of the visitors: 90 per cent
were satisfied to very satisfied with the visitors' professional knowledge and
qualifications. Some two-thirds of the exhibiting companies made new business
connections during fensterbau/frontale India 2011.
The reactions were correspondingly positive. For example, Christian Feldmann, Head of Sales New Markets at aluplast, was delighted: "I have never experienced
a premiere of an exhibition held abroad that has been organized and coordinated
so well. Everyone concerned from the industry, institutes, associations and
related sectors have cooperated very constructively at local and international
level. This is extremely remarkable and targeted; other German sectors could use this as a model." Oliver Frank, Export Manager at Zobel Chemie, was also fully convinced by the start of fensterbau/frontale India: "Super exhibition, we'll certainly be there again next time. We have also received new orders and made a
nice turnover. I have been in India for 10 years, but have never experienced
such an exhibition."
The fact that there will be an official German pavilion again at the second
edition of fensterbau/frontale India in Bangalore also illustrates the great
importance of this event which is still in its growing stages
Bangalore - metropolis in South India
Bangalore is the capital of the Indian state of Karnataka and with some 5.5
million inhabitants the third largest city in India. The city is centrally
located in the South of India and can trace its founding back to the first half
of the 16th century. Modern Bangalore is a booming metropolis, thanks to its
international importance as a location for the IT and high-tech sectors. The
city also ranks as a centre for science and research in other fields, and is
thus the focus for the intensification of cooperation projects between India and
Germany.
The Indo-German Year will take place under the motto of "Germany and India: Infinite Opportunities" from autumn 2011 till autumn 2012. The occasion is the assumption of diplomatic relations between the two countries 60 years ago. The event will focus on "CitySpaces" and deal with issues like the challenges of a growing society in fields such as building technology and architecture. The
project is promoted by the German Foreign Office, the Goethe Institute, the Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business (APA) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
