The ARC ShowArchitecture, Retail & Commercial Lighting Date: 12-13 January 2011 ![]() The ARC Show is the leading trade show for those looking to source architectural, retail or commercial lighting. Now entering its sixth year, the event will incorporate two new feature areas for its next edition based on two sectors increasingly high on the lighting agenda. • The Urban Lighting Showcase highlights a sector which has important social and environmental implications, four stands will show the latest innovations for outdoor public spaces. The event has moved back to its original home of The Business Design Centre, Islington, which is at the heart of the capital’s architecture and design community. With the main floor already nearly fully booked, The ARC Show 2011 exhibitor list already includes many of the markets leading suppliers including B.Lux, Cadisch GIGB, Crescent Lighting, Cooper Controls, Deltalight, Encapsulite, Harvard Engineering, Helvar Ltd, Megaman, Philip Payne, Photon Star LED, Projection Lighting, RZB Lighting Systems, Sill Lighting, Wandsworth Group and XAL. These companies will use the show as a launch pad to show their newest designs, from lighting controls to lighting ballasts and decorative to technical and exterior luminaires; leading manufacturers rely on The ARC Show as the only event of it’s kind in Europe. IALD Enlighten Europe Conference Leading experts operating within the lighting industry, including Jason Bruges of Jason Bruges Studio, Durham Marenghi of DMLD and Leni Schwendinger, Principal Designer of New York based company Leni Schwendinger Light Projects Ltd, will speak on subjects such as LED Technology, Energy Saving Initiatives and The Value of Light. Other confirmed speakers include Mark Sutton Vane IALD, PLDA, Principal of Sutton Vane Associates Lighting Design and Maida Hot, Lighting Design Director at NDYLIGHT who will discuss how cutting-edge technology and savvy design can produce commercial and sustainable results. The IALD are global leaders in setting the standard for lighting design excellence, cultivating the universal acknowledgement and appreciation of the Power of Light in human life.
