ENERGY FORUM on Solar Building Skins

Dates: 2 - 3 December 2010
Venue: Forum Bressanone, Via Roma 9, Bressanone, Italy

The ENERGY FORUM on Solar Building Skins will take place from 2 - 3 December in Bressanone, northern Italy. The main objective of the conference is to contribute to a multidisciplinary, integrated planning approach among architects, engineers, scientists, energy managers and manufacturers, with the aim to reduce energy consumption while improving the comfort and health of the building's occupants. Emphasis will be placed on the latest developments and innovations in integrated components for the building industry, in particular with regard to the use of renewable energy and multifunctional building envelope. This year's topics include:

  • New components for Active Solar Building Skins
  • Functionality and Quality Aspects of Building Integrated Photovoltaics
  • Integrating Solar Technologies into Historical Buildings
  • Adaptive and Intelligent Building Skins
  • Daylighting and Shading
  • Models, Tools and Simulations for Solar Building Skins

Conference fee
The conference fee is 480 EUR and includes the proceedings (full manuscripts), two lunches and all coffee breaks; the early bird fee until 30th October is 430 EUR.

Workshop for architects and engineers in the framework of the 5th ENERGY FORUM on Solar Building Skins
Integrating Photovoltaics into the Building Skin
- Architectural, Technical and Cost Considerations -

Date: 1 Dec 2010, Bressanone, Italy
The workshop is addressed to architects, planning engineers in the building environment and façade companies. The focus is on the architectural, technical and cost considerations of Integrating Photovoltaics into Buildings (BIPV). The workshop will enable the participant to discuss BIPV projects on a high level with corresponding partners.
Speakers of this workshop are Jean-Marc Moulin and Johan Vandormael of Sapa Building System, an international façade and building envelope company. The workshop will be held in English with simultaneous translation into Italian.
