2010, a Decisive Year for the Romanian Renewable Energy Market

RENEXPO® South-East Europe 2010

Dates: 24-26 November 2010
Venue: Palace Hall Bucharest, Romania

2010 is a decisive year for renewable energy investments! Romania has to send a plan regarding the coverage of the energy consumption from renewable energy sources, to the European Commission. Experts consider that the most important questions regarding green certificates and renewable energy consumption have to be answered and planned for the next decade. In order to support the development of the renewable energy market in Romania, the international trade fair and conference organizer, REECO, considers it its task to organize the 3rd edition of RENEXPO South-East Europe, 24 to 26 November 2010, in Palace Hall Bucharest.

Numerous initiatives have been taken in the last years for the renewable energy development in Romania: the biggest onshore wind farm in Europe is under construction (in Constanta by CEZ) and the biggest bio-ethanol producing factory in southeastern Europe is up and running. (According to www.energycentral.com). Renewable energy is also supported by the finance system; the Romanian Trade Banc for example shows strategic dedication to this sector.

RENEXPO® South-East Europe 2010, International Trade Fair and Conference for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficient Construction and Renovation with Passive and Low Energy Houses, from 24 to 26 November 2010 in Palace Hall, Bucharest brings together for the 3rd time suppliers and actors from the south-east European area at a central event.

After the successful 2nd edition of last year, with 55 exhibitors (30% international), 470 conference attendees and 1350 visitors (8% international) there are expected even more exhibitors this year, including manufacturers, planers, energy providers, experts from research and development, associations, media, ministries and authorities who will present to the visitors the entire band width of renewable energy and energy efficiency.

“In 2010 we plan to organize more specialized conferences in the fields of wind energy, passive house, biomass, biogas and cogeneration. We are expecting national and international public authorities, associations, decision makers, scientists and companies presenting trends, research results, technologies and innovations in their field.”, declares Avena Gall-Tamas, Project Manager of the event.

It is expected that from Romania outwards a clear market impulse will cover the entire South-East European area. Neighbouring countries such as Hungary, Serbia, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Moldavia will also be involved in the trade fair concept.
