Annual trade fair presents energy supply of the future for the 11th time
The RENEXPO® International Trade Fair for Renewable Energy & Energy Efficient
Building and Renovation will take place for the eleventh year in a row from
October 7th-10th, 2010 in the Trade Fair Center Augsburg in Augsburg, Germany.
Last year, the RENEXPO® celebrated its 10th anniversary which was a huge success.
Compared to the previous year 2008, in 2009 the number of exhibitors grew by
about 20% to over 350 (302 exhibitors in 2008). The organizers are expecting the
trade fair to grow again this year as well.
The RENEXPO® is an internationally recognized trade fair for regenerative
energies and energy efficient construction and building renovation. It brings
together companies and interested visitors from around the world. It offers an
excellent forum for planning new concepts, exchanging knowledge, seeking new
partnerships and creating new business relationships – and all at the top
meeting point of the industry. The range of topics covered at the RENEXPO® is
unmatched, covering everything from photovoltaics and solarthermal energy to
geothermal energy, heat pumps, cogeneration, biomass, heating with wood,
Stirling engines, and energy efficient building and renovation.
The 2009 RENEXPO® attracted visitors from over 40 countries as well as
exhibitors from over 13 countries. This shows the clear international appeal and
the strong interest in the trade fair outside of Germany. One of the special
international highlights in 2010 will be the IBEF® International Business
Exchange Forum where companies can present themselves together at a
collaborative booth. The RENEXPO® is traditionally supported by a partner nation,
which this year will be Austria. Several exhibitors and qualified visitors from
Austria are expected to attend.
Along with the trade fair exhibition, several conferences focusing on topics
relevant to the trade fair will be taking place. One of the most anticipated
conferences will be the 10th International BBE-Conference on Wood Energy which
is presented by the Bundesverband BioEnergie e.V. (BBE). For the 10th year in a
row, it will provide a comprehensive overview of policies, economic feasibility
and the best practices involving wood energy.
This year's trade fair will again be supported by strong national and
international network partners. The RENEXPO® will also be part of the EU campaign “Sustainable Energy Europe”.
