2010 +++ Review at the Real Vienna 2009: 242 exhibitors and 7,082 participants +++ New focus with target group-oriented focus +++ Top-flight panel discussions with the Property Talks +++
Date: 18-20 May 2010
Venue: Vienna’s Congress Center Messe Wien, Austria
Already for the fifth time the Real Vienna, the international trade fair for
trade and industry properties with special focus on the Central, South-Eastern
and Eastern European (CEE/SEE) countries, will be taking place from May 18 to
20, 2010 in Vienna’s Congress Center Messe Wien.
“Despite the global financial and economical crisis which has massively hit
some real estate markets in South-Eastern and Central Eastern Europe the
Austrian as well as many international key players participated in the fourth
edition”, Matthias Limbeck, managing director at fair organizer Reed Exhibitions
Messe Wien, looks back at the Real Vienna 2009. A total of 242 exhibitors from
24 countries and 7,082 participants were counted during the three fair days. For
the coming year Matthias Limbeck is optimistic: “In South-Eastern and Central
Eastern Europe a silver lining can be discerned on the horizon. The banks have
begun again to send positive signals to finance real estate projects and this
will soon have its effects on the markets.”

New Orientation with Target Group-Oriented FocusPoints
To deal with the currently relevant topics on the market and to further increase
the appeal of the Real Vienna the concept for the forthcoming edition of the
trade fair has been further developed. “We are working on an even clearer
orientation towards the target groups”, explains fair director Thomas
Jungreithmair. Investor groups and associations from Western Europe and Northern
America will be invited, and also a real estate congress, held by the IBA
(International Bar Association) for specialized attorneys, and a specialized
congress for city and spatial planning held in the context of the Real Vienna
2010, are planned. As a new focus point the topic “Renewable Energies” completes
the programme, in addition to the established topics “Hotel – Tourism – Leisure”
and “Shopping Center”. In its essence the established concept, a successful
mixture of business, contact, know-how and networking, is maintained.
Top-Flight Panel Discussions at the Property Talks
A fixed element of the trade platform for trade and industry properties will be
once again the so called “Property Talks”, which are arranged and organized
again in cooperation with the Austrian publisher GEWINN. On lecture stages panel
discussions with top-flight panelists will take place including real estate
experts from Central Eastern and South-Eastern Europe explaining current trade
topics. All participants of the Real Vienna can attend these events with their
admission tickets free of charge.
The Only Specialized Trade Platform for Real Estate Markets in CEE/SEE
With its dedicated focus on the real estate markets in the CEE/SEE regions as
its true unique selling proposition when compared with other real estate trade
fairs and the topical further development of the format Reed manager Matthias
Limbeck sees the Real Vienna on the right way: “The real estate markets in these
regions still hold huge potentials. Investments will continue to be pumped into
production locations and their appeal rises continually with this. And no other
event than the Real Vienna offers the possibility to meet more than 7,000
decision makers and specialists for real estate markets in Central and
South-Eastern Europe for business and networking within 4 days.”
