The 2011 Emirates Glass LEAF Awards returns for its 9th annual year on 16 September honouring the architects designing the buildings and solutions that are setting the benchmark for the international architectural community. The jury comprises of a number of renown key individuals.
Nation Towers, is the UAE capital's latest luxury development to welcome its first tenants. It comprises twin towers that feature luxury high-rise apartments, deluxe office space, a boutique style mall, the exclusive private beach club "Nation Riveria" and the five-star St. Regis Hotel.
The Al Manzil and Qamardeen Hotels in Dubai's vibrant Downtown district have been awarded the prestigious Green Globe Certification (GGC), following an exhaustive sustainability audit conducted by Farnek Avireal, GGC's exclusive partner in the Middle East.
arc en rêve centre d’architecture presents an exhibition of the work of Diébédo Francis Kéré, from 13 December 2012 to 19 May 2013 in Bordeaux/France. Kéré adapts traditional construction techniques from Burkina Faso and creates designs with a strong sense of modernity.
The distinctive and innovative Doha Tower, designed by French architect Jean Nouvel, was named Best Tall Building Worldwide by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat in a ceremony in the Illinois Institute of Technology’s seminal Crown Hall.
With major projects in five countries and over 40 locations around the region, Crystal Lagoons presented under-development initiatives in Jordan, Turkey and the UAE, and revealed its latest project, a second saltwater lagoon in the popular tourist resort of Sharm El Sheikh.
On 21 September 2012 the winning projects of the 2012 Emirates Glass LEAF AWARDS were announced in London. Thirteen awards and three special awards have been presented. Daniel Libeskind got the Lifetime Achievement in architectural Community Award.
The Zaarour Club Competition Jury recommended Najjar + Najjar as the conditional winner of the Zaarour Club competition. Their scheme was the strongest in producing the Client's need to create a magnetic architectural image that would raise Zaarour as a prime mountain and ski resort.
The Emirates Glass LEAF Awards honours the architects designing the buildings and solutions that are setting the benchmark for the international architectural community. Now the shortlist is revealed. The winners will be announced in London on 21 September 2012.
The eVolo Skyscraper Competition has become the world's most prestigious award for high-rise architecture. The contest recognizes outstanding architectural ideas. In this current, limited book edition some of the new design technologies, materials, programs and aesthetics can be seen.
