The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) calls for entries for the 2010 Professional and Student Awards. Outstanding Juries were named for both award programs. Entry forms must be submitted by 12 February 2010 (Professionals) and by 14 May 2010 (Students).
In the framework of the international young architects meeting in Antalya in May 2010, young architects can now submit their ideas for this competition on public squares of the future. Submission deadline: 22 March 2010.
Within the framework of the IFLA 2010 World Congress, the International Federation of Landscape Architects calls for entries for the IFLA Student International Design Competition 2010. Theme: Traditional Inheritance and Sustainable Development. Submit by 31 March 2010.
Until 6 April 2010 international architects can submit their candidature for a Training and Teaching Centre for Sustainable Development Professionals. The centre is to be built in Chwiter near Marrakech in Morocco.
Additional details have been published by the UIA on their International Student Competition for image models. Theme of the Competition: "A Fresh Look at 20th Century Architectural Heritage". Register by 26 March 2010. The project is due by 26 April 2010.
The UIA and the French Ministry of Culture and Communication have announced an international student competition for enhancing their web index of landmark 20th century buildings. Project submission: April 2010.
The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat calls for nominations for their CTBUH Annual Awards. The Council awards five Best Tall Building awards and two Lifetime Achievement awards. Deadline for receipt of nominations: 30 April 2010.
This international architectural and design competition by the Danube University Krems focuses on the skillful use of natural light. "Daylight Spaces" is aimed at architects, artists, as well as advanced students from around the world. Submission deadline: 26 April 2010.
Facing a "2nd Space Age" requires new approaches in designing space. Electrolux Design Lab 2010 invites international undergraduate and graduate industrial design students to create home appliances that consider shrinking domestic spaces. Submission deadline: 1 May 2010.
The International VELUX Award 2010 for Students of Architecture is now open for submission. Overall theme of the competition is the "Light of Tomorrow" with focus on the future of daylight in the built environment. Registration / Submission Deadline: 1 February 2010 / 3 May 2010.
