For the first time in history, the future real estate award, worth € 5000,
will be assigned to a young talent in the real estate industry. This will take
place at the "inspire" special purpose real estate conference, on 3 and 4
September 2009. Within the frame of the ACADEMIC ARENA, outstanding Diploma- and
Master Theses of real estate study programmes will be reviewed and a winner will
be chosen and rewarded. European academies and universities, offering real
estate Master programmes that are accredited by the Royal Institution of
Chartered Surveyors, can participate. As the first international special real
estate conference, inspire (3 and 4 September 2009, InterContinental Berlin) will
bring international experts from the areas of Lifestyle + Leisure, Health +
Care, Infrastructure + Logistics and Education + Culture together. Plenary
meetings, workshops and discussions concerning the core topics finance,
sustainability, architecture and urban development will be taking place.
Gifted young talents present their solutions
How it works: The participating universities choose one candidate from their
graduates whose thesis deals with the future of the real estate sector. Closing
date of the application is 30 June 2009. Every graduate has the opportunity to
present his or her results within the scope of the "Academic Arena" to a jury of
experts and interested conference attendees. The jury chooses a winner from the
submitted and presented theses, who will then be ceremonially acknowledged and
rewarded with a price of € 5000 at the evening reception of the inspire
conference.
All participating theses should identify solution statements for current
challenges in the real estate industry. The topics should ideally deal with one
of the following conference topics: value retention, sustainability, urban
development and demographic change; a reference to special purpose real estate,
which is central to the conference, is not compulsory.
