The Emirates Glass LEAF Awards are now open for submitting entries for the
2009 event.
Submission Deadline: June 26, 2009
Achieving status as a category finalist is a remarkable achievement and
offers an excellent competitive edge against rival firms. For LEAF Awards 2008,
the category finalists were considered to be the best in the industry sector and
a favourable choice for potential clients. Last year entries were submitted from
over 25 countries.
The awards are open to all individuals and organisations that
have made an outstanding contribution to the world of architecture. Previous
winners have included the likes of Zaha Hadid, David Chipperfield, SOM, Steven
Holl and Terry Farrell.
All nominees and winners will be featured in The LEAF Review and online at
www.designbuild-network.com and will receive exposure in the local and national
media.
Call for entries
Now in its sixth year, the LEAF Awards honours the architects designing the
buildings and solutions that are setting the benchmark for the international
architectural community.
Entry criteria
All entries will remain confidential to the judges until the official LEAF
Awards presentation takes place. All shortlisted candidates will receive
extensive coverage on www.designbuild-network.com as well as exposure at
official LEAF events throughout the year and in the special award issue of The
LEAF Review. All winning entries will be published in The LEAF Review.
Submissions should take the form of a 400 to 500-word written paper with the
addition of supporting illustrations and pictures. Each submission should cover
the issue, the solution and the end result. No more than ten pictures should be
submitted.
The judges
The judging panel will comprise of a number of key individuals drawn from areas
of the international construction community.

The LEAF Award
The LEAF Award will celebrate the finest buildings of 2009. This prestigious
award has attracted attention from key architecture publications across the
world which will cover the award through their publications and websites. Each
winner of an Award from the other categories will be shortlisted for The LEAF
Award.

- Commercial Building of the Year.
- Public Building of the Year.
- International Interior Design Award.
- Master Planning and Landscaping.
- Young Architect.
