WAF Awards 2010

The World Architecture Festival runs the biggest international architectural
awards programme in the world. Its global reach, prestigious judging panel,
unique entry process and extensive media interest have made it a fixture in the international architectural profession diary.
Who can enter?
- Architects, practices, multi-professional teams, interior architects/ designers, landscape architects, structural designers and engineers
- Developers, clients, funders and contractors, on behalf of the architect, with prior consent
What can be entered?
- Buildings, interiors, landscape and structural designs completed between 1 January 2009 and 1 June 2010
- Future projects where designs started later than 1 January 2009

Conditions of entry
- Architects and practices can enter an unlimited number of buildings and
schemes. A single entry costs €545 (€500 for loyal past entrants), additional
entries cost only €400
- Entries can be submitted in more than one category where relevant (at extra cost)
- All designs must be by professionals whose qualifications are recognised by their local accreditation organisation

Entry Requirements
All entries must be submitted in English. There are two compulsory stages to
entry:
1. The online entry - this has to be completed by Friday 2 July and the
information supplied will make up your entry onto the World Buildings Directory.
2. Submission of two A2 Boards - Entrants must also submit 2 x A2 boards
summarising their entry which will be used for shortlist judging and displayed
in the gallery of entries on site at the Festival. The boards must be shipped to
WAF offices in the UK by Monday 12 July.
It is possible to enter projects in more than one category and also enter more than one project into the same category.
Winners will be announced at the World Architecture Festival 2010. If the
building is judged to be the winner, the architect must be available in
Barcelona to collect the trophy.
