On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Taliesin, Frank Lloyd Wright’s home, studio and school in Wisconsin, the Milwaukee Art Museum, USA, presents a major exhibition offering a fresh perspective on the architect's career. Exhibition dates: 12 February to 15 May 2011.
The first feature film about Norman Foster is touring UK. The Art Commissioners production traces Foster's career and captures a spectacular scale of his projects on the big screen for the first time. The film has already won several awards.
Construction has recommenced on what might become one of the most iconic buildings in London’s Square Mile. The Leadenhall Building was set to be completed in 2011 before plans were put on ice because the recession led to a decline in demand of office space.

The Skyscraper Museum in New York City, USA, hosts the exhibition Vertical Urban Factory that surveys historical and contemporary factories around the world, highlighting innovative architecture of city factories. The exhibition will run through June 2011.
OMA has appointed Iyad Alsaka and David Gianotten as new Partners in their company. Their appointment supports OMA’s growing number of architectural and research projects in North Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
The Art Institute of Chicago, USA showcases a major exhibition highlighting important recent developments that have resulted from the intersection of architecture and design. Hyperlinks: Architecture and Design takes place from 11 December 2010 until 20 July 2011.
The winners of the 2010 Australian Timber Design Awards, Australasia's foremost timber design and architectural awards, have been announced. The grand prize went to David Boyle Architect for Burridge Read Residence. The project stood apart for its use of various new and recycled timbers.
Three winners and eight honourable mentions were announced at the award event of the Intern. VELUX Award in La Rochelle, France. A South Korean team of four students of architecture from Hanyang University in Seoul won 1st prize for their project “Constellation of light fields”.
