École de Chaillot / Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoineRegistrations for post-master diploma DSA Architecture and HeritageDeadline for submission of applications: June 5, 2009 ![]() It is a diploma delivered by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication, recognised at the post-master level by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, and corresponding to 120 credits in the European credits transfer system (ECTS). The course follows its traditional schedule of 2 days every 2 weeks over 2 years, is split into 4 semesters and its teachings are grouped into course units. This course is intended for qualified architects who wish to complement their basic knowledge with specialised and in depth training in the areas of restoration, preservation, showcasing, transformation and re-use of buildings and historic centres. It allows them to acquire the professional skills and analysis capacities that are prerequisites to any form of intervention on existing built areas. It aims to provide architects with a “diagnostic culture” which will enable them to intervene in a variety of areas, from ancient ruins or medieval houses to present-day social housing, while respecting the studied object. It covers the entire architectural, urban and landscape heritage, and provides the corresponding technical, cultural, administrative and legal knowledge. All courses are provided in French. Registrations for the 2009-2011 session of the post-master diploma Architecture and Heritage are opened. Procedures, application form and information about the education are available on the website of the Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine www.citechaillot.fr. The deadline to submit the applications is June 5th 2009. Pre-selected candidates will be auditioned by a jury composed by professors on 24,25, 26th June 2008.
