During its last General Assembly, the ACE held its Presidential and Executive Board elections. On this occasion, Selma Harrington, the ACE President since 1st January 2010 and former Head of National delegation to the ACE on behalf of the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland, was reelected for a second two-year period.

She will be joined on the Executive Board by re-elected members Lionel Dunet (France), Wolfgang Haack (Germany), newly elected Michel de Keyser (Belgium), Matjaz Durjava (Slovenia) and Nicholas Galabov (Bulgaria) as well as by the current members by rotation: Pawel Kobylanski (Poland), Konstantinos Belibassakis (Greece), Mauro Latini (Italy), Christos Savva (Cyprus) and Pierre-Henri Schmutz (Switzerland).

Speaking to the General Assembly in Brussels, Mrs. Harrington stated that she wishes to continue and consolidate the process of internal resourcing and transition in the ACE, working both with the Executive Board and the new Secretary General on implementing the ACE mid-term policy and on improving the ACE visibility and communications. "The vision, program and work invested by the Executive Board members and myself during the last two years are a base for continuity and will strive to further refine communication and cooperation between the Executive Board, the ACE Staff and Member Organisations in order to effectively implement the agreed political actions". She said that she took the role of President with deep interest and engagement and will continue to do so in the next term.

The re-elected President thanked all member organisations, delegates and representatives for giving her the opportunity to lead the ACE again for the next two-year period. She also expressed her commitment and determination to continue and successfully complete the process started with her election 2010 slogan Review, Resource, Re-imagine in the period ahead.
