Climate change and urbanization are generating complex challenges for architects, urban planners, artists and activists – especially when it comes to the resource water. The scenarios in the Asian-Pacific realm are drastic: rising sea levels, insufficient rainfalls, water shortages, flooding, water pollution. 30 selected projects from 10 countries explore and present new technologies, innovative urban design concepts, floating mosques, futuristic offshore dwellings, postdiluvian visions, hybrid flood tunnels, aquatectures, vertical hydro cultures, water lily solar plants and revitalised urban riverbanks that altogether make life with water attractive and safe.
